Do you need to design an app in Power Apps and don't know how to start? Copilot will help you.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In today's article, we'll learn how to use Copilot<\/a> to save development time when it comes to creating the data model and the initial build of a modern Power Apps application, so that staff can request any item in stock from the company's warehouse.<\/span><\/p>\n

This way, the app creation process is much easier, as Copilot will do most of the heavy lifting. We'll give all the instructions in English for optimal results.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Steps to \nstart designing a modern app<\/span>\n in <\/span>\nPower<\/span>\n Apps. Part <\/span>\nI<\/span>\n<\/span>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Next, we detail the steps to follow and best practices:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n1. Check that <\/span>\nCopilot<\/span>\n AI is enabled in our environment.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n <\/span><\/h3>\n

I<\/span>\nf you don't see<\/span>\n <\/span>\nthis chat box, you must<\/span>\n <\/span>\nenable it within the Admin <\/span>\nCenter.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nTo do that, <\/span>\ngo<\/span>\n to the Admin <\/span>\nCenter, <\/span>\nselect<\/span>\n <\/span>\nyour environment and <\/span>\ngo<\/span>\n to the settings page.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/span>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOn<\/span>\n the settings page you have<\/span>\n <\/span>\na product dropdown menu. Click here and <\/span>\nthen<\/span>\n on the features page where you can<\/span>\n enable<\/span>\n Copilot<\/span>\n AI. If you don't manage<\/span>\n <\/span>\nthe environment, <\/span>\nyou can ask<\/span>\n your<\/span>\n <\/span>\nadministrator.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n2. Set a<\/span>\n \"Preferred<\/span>\n Solution\"<\/span>\n to store the components<\/span>\n of <\/span>\nCopilot<\/span>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

\nBy default, unless you are already<\/span>\n <\/span>\nin the context of an unmanaged solution, all solution components are stored in the solution named <\/span>\n\n\"<\/span>\nCommon<\/span>\n Data <\/span>\nServices<\/span>\n Default <\/span>\nSolution<\/span>\n\"<\/span>\n.<\/span>\n<\/em>\n<\/span>\n\n <\/span>\n<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Establecer<\/p>\n

\nBut in most cases <\/span>\nwe want<\/span>\n this to be stored in <\/span>\nour<\/span>\n own custom solution, so to do that, you must<\/span>\n <\/span>\nenable the preferred solution feature <\/span>\nwithin the Admin <\/span>\nCenter.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once it is enabled on the \"Solutions\" page, you should have this bar where you can configure your preferred solution, so simply click Manage and select the solution where you want Copilot to store all the components.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In my case, I will create a new solution to store the components of this new application.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n3. Ask <\/span>\nCopilot<\/span>\n to create\/suggest the structure of our application.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n <\/span><\/h3>\n

\nAs we can see, <\/span>\nCopilot<\/span>\n <\/span>\nproposes<\/span>\n a table with the specifications we requested<\/span>\n. It<\/span>\n includes the request ID, <\/span>\nwho makes it, <\/span>\nthe item to <\/span>\nrequest<\/span>\n, the request date and the status<\/span>\n.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n <\/span><\/p>\n

\n4. Ask <\/span>\nCopilot<\/span>\n to make <\/span>\nmodifications<\/span>\n before creating the application.<\/span>\n<\/span>\n <\/span><\/h3>\n

If we wanted to add a status, we can give it the following command:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
