The assignment of a salesperson to a shipping address<\/strong> in Dynamics 365 Business Central is one of the new features introduced in the latest update.<\/p>\n

This will significantly improve customer management, optimize the sales process, provide detailed analytics, and enhance logistical efficiency.<\/p>\n

Companies can ensure that they are managing their operations efficiently.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, in Dynamics 365 Business Central<\/a>, the salesperson was associated with the customer card. When a customer had several branches served by different salespeople, this required creating multiple customer cards in order to assign each salesperson accordingly.<\/p>\n

Now, with this new functionality, we can have a single customer card and multiple addresses, each with its own assigned salesperson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Steps to Assign a Salesperson to a Shipping Address in Business Central<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If we look at how it would be step by step:<\/p>\n

  1. Access the customer card<\/strong>: We will see that the salesperson assigned is \u201cCM\u201d.

  2. Go to Shipping Addresses<\/strong>: Here, we will see that we have two shipping addresses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Assign the salesperson to each address:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If we open the card for any of these shipping addresses, we can see that there is a new field called \u201cSalesperson Code\u201d<\/strong> (This field is hidden by default, but the user can personalize the page to display it).<\/p>\n

      We assign the salesperson \u201cAT\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

      We open the other shipping address and assign the salesperson \u201cDM\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

      In the list of shipping addresses, we can also display the \u201cSalesperson Code\u201d<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n

        Once this is done, from a sales document\u2014such as an order\u2014assigning the shipping address will update the salesperson code that was initially assigned.<\/p>\n
