Since the March 2023 update, Power BI Desktop offers a new feature in preview version that improves interaction and direct editing of properties and formatting in visual elements.
To enable this feature, we must ensure we have at least the March 2023 version; if not, we must update it beforehand. 

Currently, in any visual element, to change its properties, define fields, values, etc., we must go to the formatting panel, as shown in the following image:




If we enable this new feature from File – Options and Settings:




Once we check it and accept, we must close and reopen Power BI for it to activate. Once done, already in our report we can go to a graphic element and observe that two new options appear as buttons on the right:


The first one allows us to change the chart type or change the fields for the Axes, legend, etc.


The second button will allow modifying some features of the chart or element, keeping in mind that not all options available in the visualizations panel are there. What will exist is a More Options button that will open all properties in the right panel:
